UJETA [:Ujeta]
UJETA is a combination of the Kosovan terms "uje", meaning water, and "jeta", meaning life. Because water is life-giving. What’s more, drinking water is one of the most basic needs of people. If it is contaminated or polluted with materials that present a threat to health, however, it can also trigger life-threatening diseases. To prevent that from happening, this valuable elixir of life must first be cleaned thoroughly - and ideally not using chemicals, which would in turn pollute the environment, but as far as possible using natural filter technologies and water treatment systems such as the UJETA Care.

UJETA water filters rank amongst the smallest water treatment systems in the world. With a filter output of up to 5,000 litres per unit and a modest weight of just 3 kg, the UJETA Care is not only supremely efficient, but can also be used when on the move. This innovative solution contributes first and foremost to a lasting improvement in global drinking water supply. Thanks to combined ultra-filtration using activated carbon and membrane filters (LOG 6 classification), 99.999 per cent of all bacteria and germs are removed, along with heavy metals, drug residues, chlorine products and chlorine decomposition products, pesticides, organic compounds and even asbestos fibres. Thus UJETA Care makes an active contribution to ensuring that no-one need die of thirst on our planet, and that drinking water can be available at all times and in all places.

Not only is the lack of drinking water supply a global problem, it is also becoming a challenge that must be taken increasingly seriously in Europe. Worldwide, around 663 million people have no direct access to clean water. Every day, some 1,400 children aged under five die from diarrhoea and associated diseases, in part brought on by polluted or contaminated drinking water. Those were the findings of the 2016 Water Report by the German charitable organisation Welthungerhilfe. That is reason enough for us to face up to this responsibility and, in UJETA Care, to offer a simple, and above all inexpensive, solution that can ensure safe and straightforward water treatment – for everyone, and everywhere on our planet.

UJETA is a subsidiary of Schneider Kunststoff Technik GmbH, which has its registered office in Kirchheim, in the Allgäu region of Germany. The specialist business has been manufacturing technical plastic parts for customers in the automotive, mechanical engineering, packaging systems and sensor technology sectors for over 20 years. The know-how developed as a result flows directly into the design and production of the UJETA filters, which are manufactured exclusively in Germany. Only in this way can the “Made in Germany” quality mark be assured, as a guarantee of best manufacturing quality. As a DIN EN ISO 9001, DIN ISO 14001 and DIN ISO 50001 (energy management)-certified family-run company, UJETA also plays a leading role in terms of sustainable and social enterprise. It’s a further reason why we support humanitarian projects around the world and are an active participant domestically in ‘Umweltpaket Bayern’, an agreement between the Bavarian state government and Bavarian business for cooperative environmental protection.
