For us Europeans it is the most normal and ordinary thing in the world: We turn on the tap and what we receive is fresh and clean drinking water. Most valleys and households in the district Baringo don´t have the access to this essential resource. The women of this region travel long distances and take on huge difficulties in order to get the water from springs or cisterns to their houses.
ProKapsogo (https://www.prokapsogo.de) simplifies their daily routine with water pumps or huge tanks. By this the primary care should be ensured at least. Water is not just a drink but also more hygiene and hence less sickness.
AT BARINGO COUNTY there ARE aPproximately 5000 children on different schools and Play schools without access to clean drinking water.
Water is collected by gutters during the rainy season, the achieved water will be stored at huge tanks. But before using this water it has to be prepared urgently.
